Ohh, good points to all of this!
...if Lindsey still considers Eliot his best friend, dies that mean that they are still on the track of making peace eventually??

Since Sterling/Crowley reversed everything Lindsey did to Eliot in "The Let's Make a Deal Job", I'd say the odds are very good. Especially because Eliot having to learn to fight all over again as 100% human is going to make him appreciate those demonic enhancements in ways he never has before.
