...in favor of my shiny new confuzzled Sam Winchester icon -- but as this is more of a "Holy Crap!" expression I suspect I'm going to hold onto it for a bit more.

Lessee. In the past handful of days, I have caught up on all my shows, seen Prince Caspian, got some stuff done around the house, committed fic, got the notification that Raven's Nest Fashions is an honest-to-goddess sole proprietorship in the State of Florida, got a business checking account, talked to the woman designing my logo and started preliminary talks with some friends about my website.

Oh, and bought my domain name this morning. Don't bother asking -- there's nothing there yet.

Holy Crap indeed.

when you can afford the fee -- make yourself an LLC rather than a sole proprietorship -- tax breaks plus shields your personal assets from liability. Under the sole proprietorship; your personal assets can be seized to pay corporate debts or liabilities. Under an LLC they cannot. I know you are not too concerned about your vast amount of assets being seized at this time : - D -- but circumstances do change so if you find yourself starting to rake it in; call me and I'll walk u thru it.

Appreciate it. Ultimately my instinct *is* to armor plate my ass as much as I can...it just doesn't make any sense at this point.
