Hey...did ya know?

This sleep business apparently has some pretty kick-ass restorative powers!
Amazing.
Memo to
writercon staff: Please stop scheduling the freaking convention in conflict with Comicon! Hearing all the wonderful reports is just making me seriously frustrated.
I do appear to be more inspired, though. Maybe that's my competitive streak coming out, but at this point I'll take what I can get. Particularly since I apparently have an unexploited connection to Ben Bella publishing that I never even thought twice about, so the essay on Starbuck that
tinne has been pushing me to do is a go.
Whether it gets published or not is completely out of my control, but at least I have a possible plan of action for submission.
Speaking of writing -- thanks to anyone and everyone who has offered feedback on my tentacle pr0n of a couple weeks ago. Y'all have been fantastic for my ego -- after two years of beating my head against the proverbial brick wall, it's nice to have a round of relatively objective people praising my writing for a change.
Which is leading me back to Dari and So-Mo. Finally. My writing schedule for myself is so out of whack at this point I'm tempted to scrap it and develop something more realistic.
We'll see, though. Historically me and schedules leads to almost certain disaster.
In other news, Robin arrived in Kentucky this morning, and has *already* had her first taste of Warcraft. *facepalm* She's a very happy little geek.
Amazing.
