I know we already discussed this piece some in emails, I just wanted to say that I've only seen bits and pieces of Buffy, and I have...entirely shallow reasons to like Spike too much. Which makes me like this bit all the more. ;)
But the explanation of the emotion there - having that consistent protection in the Slayer threat - makes this work all the better!
