telarynYesterday ended fairly peacefully. I'm fighting the laundry monster, and actually winning. Dad was actually appreciative of all my work yesterday, and he seems to be slowly coming around to the realization that any "brilliant" schemes he has involving work around here are going to inconvenience *me*, not him.

wisteria_ got a jump on the April 1st wackiness with one of the slickest pranks I've seen yet! I'm not going to bother linking it, because it will mean little to you if you're not a rabid Angel fan, and if you're a rabid Angel fan and on my Friends List, odds are you've already seen it. :)
And before coffee yet!
I'm late for icon appreciation day, but thanks go towisteria_, miggy, and _aubrey -- the latter two for sharing their work, and the former for providing the best screencaps ever! Not to mention going out of her way to make the cap I used in my OTP! icon.
Also tocirce_tigana and anniesj. I don't have any of your icons in my current slate, but the beautiful work you guys do is nothing short of inspiring!
ABC Night tonight -- cannot wait!
Hello, my name istelaryn, and I am a snark addict. *g*
Robin is doing much better after the dentist hell of Tuesday. I was also very proud of her last night -- she was having trouble remembering a step in her pattern. So, after class she went up to the Chief Instructor and asked him *why* that move required the step she can't remember.
He gave her the standard brush off "because that's the way it's done".
Undaunted, she explained to him, "No sir -- I would really like to know what the logic is behind the move. It helps me remember what to do if I can understand *why* it's done in that particular way."
He apologized for his flippancy and gave her the answer she was looking for.
Not only was I proud, but highly amused -- she is *so*grindar's child with that! (and I mean that in a good way). I tend to do better if I *don't* have to be burdened with the "whys" of a thing. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it -- don't slow me down with explanations or rationalizations.
