Summary: While heading for Lowell, Indiana to rendezvous with Aaron and Maggie, Miles is set upon by a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents looking for a mythical pendant that might hold the key to setting the world right again.
Author's Notes: I recently put up an offer for a fic a day for the first twenty days of December. This is prompt #1, provided by whiskyinmind, who wanted to explore the idea that S.H.I.E.L.D. had a vested interest in finding the pendants, and that Miles had worked with them - and specifically with Nat and Clint - back in the day.

Needless to say, I have only scratched the surface with the story potential here.
