I'm reasonably certain this hasn't been reported yet, since apparently the meeting didn't adjourn until three in the frakking morning...

...but the Belleview Biltmore is saved. Opposition to the planned renovations -- renovations which would restore the hotel to its historical glory -- were defeated last night/early this morning.

And my mother got the added bonus of being able to see that one of her life-long projects has a chance to continue without her.
