Dreamt about Comicon set-up last night. It was weird though -- the venue *so* wasn't the San Diego Convention Center. It actually looked more like the Dealer's Room at the Purple Hyatt -- which on the odd chance you're familiar with each of these venues should give you an idea of how far out of whack the proportions were.

I'm getting excited. I can't help it. In so many ways, Comicon is my favorite show of the year -- which is really kind of weird, considering how little of the actual con I get to see.

It's so big and varied and interesting though, that somehow being tied to the table all weekend never seems to matter much.

Not to mention it's *hard* work...which sounds like something horrible, but it's really something I'm looking forward to. Hard work doing something I passionately love where I can actually see tangible results of my progress -- it's like telaryn's anti-life weekend!

I'm also excited about getting to man our shiny new sattelite booth. This is the first year Offworld Designs has expanded to a second booth (trust me, the hall is *more* than big enough to support such an endeavor), and I'm eager to help make it a success.

And selfishly, if what the boss tells me is true, I should be physically closer to the Viz booth, which means running over and grabbing Robin's annual tote bag should be much less of a chore.

I'm also very psyched about seeing LJ'ers...even though I have bugger-all time to socialize, it's nice to be able to put faces to LJ's. Just don't be offended if I try and sell you shirts...remember, it's my job! :)
