I maintain that having Nate mind-raped by Drusilla is the second greatest thing we did in The End of Days Job (the first being Wolfram & Hart trying to turn Eliot into the Conduit). Problem is, because I was co-writing it with my offspring, I was never able to comfortably take it to the extremes my brain really wanted to.

As such, while I was doing [livejournal.com profile] angst_bingo I went back to that well a couple of times...this is probably my favorite. The prompt was "Supernatural: Vampires", and I wanted to try combining the lingering threat/trauma of Drusilla with Nate reaching that point in his relationship with Faith where he's forced to realize that using her as a threat against the undead doesn't always work.

Spike was the perfect vehicle to explore this, not only because of his connection to Drusilla, but because having killed two Slayers and currently being on speaking terms with a whole bunch of others he would be *exactly* the type of vampire to laugh at "my daughter's a Slayer".

From a purely shallow standpoint, I *desperately* wanted to take this story in an entirely different direction. Nate pinned face first against a wall, Spike crowded in close, one hand clamped down on his inner thigh, getting ready to bite...this is a whole buffet of my kinks spread out for feasting right here.

And I don't even like Spike without Drusilla!
